On January 13th, the internet went into a frenzy when a mixtape titled "Straight from the Lab 3" leaked including 14 unreleased Eminem tracks. The tracks are a mix of finished products that either never saw the light of day due to sample clearing issues or unfinished studio products that ended up getting scrapped later on. These songs are spread out throughout Marshall's illustrious career from the early 2000's to 2018 with features from 50 Cent, Slaughterhouse (Royce da 5'9, Joel Ortiz, Crooked I, and Joe Budden), Nate Dogg, Anderson Paak., and Westside Boogie including production from Dr. Dre, DenAun Porter from D12, Just Blaze and Luis Resto.

However, the main song that has the internet buzzing is an unreleased diss track from 2003 aimed towards Ja Rule and former CEO of Death Row Records Suge Knight. The phrase “Suge shot me” reverberates throughout the track, with Eminem even reworking the chorus from 2Pac's classic hit "Against All Odds." “Hopin’ my thug m***f**** know, this be the realest s*** I ever wrote/Against all odds, up in the studio gettin’ blowed / To the truest s*** I ever spoke.” Slim Shady then adds insult to injury stating, "I’m holding Suge responsible for the deaths of the two greatest rappers to ever grace the face of this planet,” Em raps. “If only the late, great Mr. Christopher Wallace could talk, he could tell you himself / I’m holding Suge responsible for the death of Ja Rule or anyone else down with Tha Row.” Towards the end of the diss track, Eminem makes a very bold statement regarding his future in the rap industry if the song were to ever be released saying, “This game is gonna be the death of me,” but vows to ”expose the truth even if it kills me," along with a jab from his daughter Hailie Jade aggressively stating, "stupid when I see you I'm gonna make you shut up when I see you too, smack you across the face."

Ja Rule also caught some heavy bars from the lyrical titan Slim Shady for having a fantasy of wanting to be the next Tupac Shakur in the music industry during the early 2000's by affiliating himself around Suge Knight whenever seen in public or at night clubs. Em also claimed Ja's obsession over the legendary rapper due to the fact Ja Rule has an "Outlaw" tattoo on his arm. "Ja you got Outlaw on your arm let's see the new tat." "You made a deal with the Devil who's givin you his permission to imitate a legend we all love so much we miss him." As of right now, Marshall's publicist has spoken publicly regarding the leaks stating, "they are very real, they just weren't meant for public consumption. How do you guys feel about the new diss track? Do you consider it one of Slim Shady's greatest diss tracks ever made? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
